KGB Officer Parade-Walking Out Peaked cap with grey crown and blue piping, 1969-1991 edition with round metal badge.
Good condition, minor sigh of wear.
This 1991-dated everyday service cap represents the final style of KGB officer headgear. As you would expect, it has a khaki crown with cornflower blue band and piping. Even though the M69 caps had larger crowns than their predecessors, so too did caps produced from 1989 on. Other characteristics of late-model caps include a plastic visor and gilded metal buttons. The oval M55 cockade continues to be standard. When first regulated in 1969, officers' service caps had black chinstraps instead of the gold cords shown here. These cords were only authorised for service cap wear in 1975.
