Officer Parade-Walking Out Cap – Tank / Artillery / Motor Transport / Railroad / VOSO (1969–1991)
This parade-walking out cap was worn by officers, warrant officers, and extended service sergeants of the tank, artillery, motor transport, railroad troops, and VOSO. The black velvet band distinguishes it from earlier versions, marking the wearer’s rank and branch.
While velvet bands were not initially authorised for all services, they became widely used across various special troops. In 1980, this practice was formalised by standardising black velvet bands for all officer caps.
This particular cap was manufactured before 1991, during the Soviet era, and features a plastic visor consistent with the period’s design.
